Whatsapp is working to bring swipe in the answer feature to its Android app. Messaging app has an eventful 2018 that is launching and testing new features with high frequency. Whatsapp is a swipe to answer in the iPhone app already, which appears to make its way onto Android devices. The new feature will prompt WhatsApp users to respond to a message immediately using a swipe right gesture. This essentially means that you will not need to tap and hold the message to receive the reply button. In addition, the app is also asked to work on dark mode.

According to the WABetaInfo report, Whatsapp is working on the swipe on the answer feature in the Android app. The Messaging App has recently submitted a new update via the Google Play Beta program, which has reached beta version 2.18.282. The report claims that this feature is currently unavailable due to "development reasons" and it needs to get many improvements before it becomes officially available for all WhatsApp users for Android users. However, the report says that the new Whatsapp feature may be available in one of the next few updates.

When swipe to respond to whatsapp for Android, you will be able to swipe through the message that you want to answer. After this, Whatsapp will automatically load the message in the answer context.

Coming in dark mode, Whatsapp is finally working on adding more waiting features. According to a tweet tweeted by WABetaInfo, Whatsapp has finally started working on the dark mode for both iOS and Android. However, the report does not specify the exact timeline for roll-out on whatsapp for dark mode.

The upcoming dark mode feature will help reduce the tone of the user's eye while using whatsapp in the night or in low light conditions. It will also help to save battery on phones with OLED display.
